Employees bring in dishes, flatware and food containers from
home which are washed daily, to decrease the amount of plas
tic products used |
Lights are turned off in rooms not being used. "Please turn
off when not in use" labels are placed over all light switches
as a reminder. |

Recycle bins for glass, cans and plastic are located in the common kitchen area |
Non-essential electronic equipment is unplugged at night, (cell phone chargers etc.) |
Employees use both sides of paper. After use, the paper is recycled or shredded if patient sensitive information is
present |
Computers are shut down over the weekends. |

Bins for recycled paper are located in the common fax room. Any paper containing patient information is shredded. |
Some florescent light bulbs were removed from overhead fixtures. This did not cause any appreciable difference in lighting and helped to save on energy usage |

Plastic bags are recycled and are taken to a recycling center weekly |
All exterior doors are kept closed |

Used toner cartridges are collected and donated to various charities |

Large electronic equipment, computers, broken printers and cell phones are recycled through Best Buy |
